What is SharpE?
SharpE is a shell replacement for Windows 2000, XP and Vista.
What’s a shell replacement?
A shell replacement is simply a replacement for explorer.exe.
Explorer.exe displays the desktop, tesk bar, start menu, and file broswer. On Windows machines the explorer.exe runs automatically, and this provides the familiar Windows gui (graphical user interface), or “look” you are used to. A shell replacement, like SharpE, can make Windows look surprisingly not like Windows, make you able to customize your desktop options to a great degree, and can help your machine run faster and more efficiently.
How does SharpE work?
SharpE does not delete the default Windows shell, it merely closes explorer.exe and replaces it. You are free to go back to the original desktop setup at any time. There is a simple option for setting the desktop back to explorer. SharpE also does not contan any malware such as adware or spyware.
